What is Block Time?

The Block Time is the time of a flight measured from the start of movement out of the parking position ("off-block") to the end of movement ("in-block"). It includes taxi-out time, flight-time and tax-in time.

The Block time is sometimes also referred to as block-to-block or chock-to-chock time, referring to the procedure of taking off blocks from the wheels before the beginning of movement and bringing them back on after reaching parking position. The Flight-Time on boarding passes is identical to the Block Time.
