What is Time Gap?

Time Gap is a measure of the time that elapses between the departure of the first vehicle and the arrival of the second at the designated test point.

As illustrated by the graphic below, the time gap is the time that passes between the rear bumper of the first vehicle and the front bumper of the second vehicle pass the designated test point.

Time Gap is usually reported in units of seconds.
