What is IBIS-IP (VDV 301)?

IBIS-IP is an abbreviation of Integrated On-Board Information System (IBIS) based on the Internet Protocol (IP). The IBIS-IP standard is defined by the “Verband Deutscher Verkehrsunternehmen” (VDV = Association of German Transport Companies) in the VDV publication VDV 301.
IBIS-IP is the IP based successor of the IBIS vehicle bus standard specified in the VDV publication VDV 300.
