What is IBIS VDV 300?

IBIS is an abbreviation of Integrated On-Board Information System (IBIS). The IBIS standard is defined by the “Verband Deutscher Verkehrsunternehmen” (VDV = Association of German Transport Companies) in the VDV publication VDV 300.

IBIS, a vehicle bus standard, is the predecessor of IBIS-IP which is based on the Internet Protocol (IP) and specified in the VDV publication VDV 301.
