Data privacy matters
In a data-driven world, protecting information is more than just a legal duty. For us it means ithe necessary basis for long-term trust between our customers, partners, and stakeholders. Isarsoft Perception enables the step from mere observation to true understanding without endangering individual identities.
DSGVO standard
Isarsoft Perception complies with all relevant data protection guidelines and regulations, including the GDPR. This compliance guarantees that data is collected, processed, and stored in a manner that strictly respects individual privacy rights.
No biometric data
Isarsoft Perception automatically anonymizes faces and license plates as they move through the frame. The intelligent masking pixelates personal data in crowded environments with 99% accuracy. By processing metadata alone, person re-identification across multiple cameras remains possible without compromising privacy.
Data minimization
Raw videos are immediately converted into anonymous metadata. Once processed, personal information cannot be recovered, providing maximum legal security.
Data privacy in practice
Ensure legal compliance and identity protection while unlocking actionable intelligence from people flow and vehicle analytics.

Redaction in real-time
Faces and license plates are pixelated in real-time before any storage or display occurs.

Ireversible anonymization
Pixel data is permanently and irreversibly altered instead of using a simple overlay.

Permanent exclusion zones
Permanent masking of sensitive areas such as private windows, neighboring properties, or employee areas is easy to apply.

Is Isarsoft Perception privacy compliant?
Yes, Isarsoft Perception complies with relevant privacy policies such as the GDPR. Additionally Isarsoft is ISO 27001 certified by TÜV Süd, underscoring our commitment to the highest standards of privacy, information security and risk management.
The software does not identify people personally, it does not store faces, personal data, or identity. It only uses abstract visual features (like colors, shapes, and movement patterns) to match whether two detections belong to the same individual. This makes Re-ID privacy-friendly and compliant with regulations such as GDPR when implemented correctly.
Where is the data processed?
By default, Isarsoft Perception is an on-premises/edge-based solution. All video stream processing and data generation occur on customers` hardware, e.g. edge units or central servers). No raw video data or metadata is transmitted to Isarsoft servers. Cloud use is entirely optional.
Some customers prefer to send anonymous metadata to cloud vendors for reporting purposes but that can also be achieved with local infrastructure. If you choose a local deployment, zero data is transmitted to Isarsoft or third-party providers.
Is Isarsoft’s anonymization truly irreversible?
Yes. Unlike "overlays" in some video players, Isarsoft Perception permanently alters the pixel data. Once redacted, the original PII cannot be recovered from the exported file.
Can analytics, like peoplec counting, be performed on an anonymized stream?
Yes, this is a core advantage of Isarsoft`s video analytics software. Our AI can generate anonymous metadata (counts, flow patterns) while simultaneously masking faces and license plates, giving you the insights you need without the privacy risk.
Does the real-time redaction cause significant latency?
No. Isarsoft is optimized for high-performance edge computing. The latency is negligible, allowing for live monitoring with active privacy masking.
