Edge AI Video Analytics is a concept of deploying AIvideo analytics functionalities to local edge devices. Opposed to run AI Video Analytics centrally in the cloud, a decentralized edge computing approach to video analytics enables lower latencies and reduces bandwidth usage. Edge computing and cloud computing can be combined by processing videos locally on edge devices and storing the resulting metadata centrally in the cloud.
